I've started listening to them, and I really don't know what to make of them yet. What does everyone else think?

Definite hit. The self titled and the split with Lunar Aurora is some of the best shit ever. The new album is pretty good too.

hmm.. i haven't heard the new album Einsamkeit yet, didn't knew it had been released other than on his discography on MA

Hit, btw... i think Winterkäelte is the most awsome work yet. But there are several other good demos/albums.

EDIT: oh.. the Einsamkeit demo was sold out after 2 hours, that's why i didn't get to see it anywhere, he he :D well.. i'll just wait for the LP. This month another PD demo is going to get released on LP - i believe it is the self titled one.

I'm still struggling to "get" Winterkaelte. It all feels so massively dense and difficult to get through. Maybe I should have started with the self-titled.

it is dense, yes.. but it has some very awsome moments, especielly the second half.
It may also be worth to mention that the Paysage D'hiver music you are listening to is riped from either LP's or tape. You may get a denser feelling or sound depending on the equipment that was used to ripe and the conditition of the tape/lp. I have music that has been riped from LP's and tape on my computer as well that sounds nothing like the real deal.

Interesting. I didn't think of that .I think I'll download the self-titled, as taking in 90 minutes of an artist you don't know is pretty intense.
