Ooh, I didn't. Mighty Cthulhu, please don't let it be yet another rehash of The Work That Transforms God, like MoRT was. Love and respect, Zad.

Yes, hopefully it's an album similar to their old works...
I mean BAN is known basically only for TWTTG (no question an awesome album), but Ultima Thule and Fathers of The Icy Age are great album as well...

The little I've heard from their earlier stuff is excellent. Don't get me wrong, I like the grim industrial stuff on MoRT, but I'd hate for them to fall into Xasthur's trap and become a one-trick pony.

Just listened to the new album through once and it seems like a mixture between the old albums (at least production wise) and TWTTG...
It turned out pretty good i think, it's much more melodic and straight forward than MoRt and I am sure many people will be happy about it.

They mentioned that they were planning this album in an interview some time ago. It's supposed to be a tribute to Quorthon, if i remember correctly.

They seem to have forgot everything they said about it because this is exactly the same as the last albums. At first I thought I was listening to Mort by accident because I haven't heard that one yet. This just more of the good old TWWTG. The title track is one of the best and most creepy songs I've ever heard.

Really? Damn. Haven't heard this yet, but I do hope you're wrong about it being more of the same.

You're in for a disappointment then. Sure it's more black metal and guitar oriented but it's still definitely nothing new to the band. It's not necessarily bad though, I like it better with every listen.

Good. Only good, it could have been better. Worse than the previous one.

But the title song is incredible! Just listen to those wagnerian riffs!!! :D
