I just heard "Eyes" and it's just as ri-goddamned-diculous as Jihad. It sounded as if they tried to bring that creepy, darkish feel from "Dead Skin Mask" into it, but it failed miserably. The SAME Slipknot-ish GHUA riff in the entire song just flat-out ruins it and the repetitive lyrics, choruses, and awful Araya vox make it painful. This CD is going to suck worse than St. Anger.

I listened to these some days ago when they first leaked or whatever and thought it was pretty crap.

Great! I love that long intro, Kerry King gives some sweet RIB-style solos, and Dave Lombardo's drumming has never been better. My only complaint is with Tom's vocals. His voice just seems to have gotten too deep for this style of screaming. So it admittedly sounds a little hokey.

Otherwise, great song. I'll definitely be checking this album out when it's released next month.

I'll agree with the part about their lyrics being stupid (although South Of Heaven and Seasons In The Abyss had some really good lyrics). But overrated? No way!

To be honest, I can't think of a single metal band that has never had stupid lyrics (be it intentionally or unintentionally).

I'm not gonna complain about Lombardo's drumming. He's the only sane guy left in Slayer. Even Arraya disappoints me lately.

Ya man it is true, Slayer is about yelling about christians. Why do you think Slayer got so big?...well its not the full reason, but you know what i mean. I really liked the song, its good ol' slayer you know? makes you wanna thrash around, plus, its gonna sound sick live! :twisted:

I actually love the riff starting at 1,50, the rest of the song Jihad is pretty meh...
