I'm sure you can order it from your local record store even.... Destruction, Kreator and Sodom are major bands under major labels, so it's easy to find their stuff.

There's even a double jewelcase pack with Sentence Of Death/Infernal Overkill and Mad Butcher/Eternal Devastation out there that cost fuck all.

Yeah, I got that for £10. I guess that's about 15 US$ maybe.

yup a tiny price to pay for 4 great releases! So that kinda settles the part that Destruction is 'obscure' aye ? :)

imo the best part in Destruction in the first place is the unique and great riffwork of Mike in their early albums. Almost all that is lost when Destruction reformed.... which they started sounding digitally clean and generic.

Yes, a very clean sound wouldn't suit those early albums at all. But it's mainly the acoustic parts on Mad Butcher that in my opinion sound pretty weak, as well as a lot of the vocals.

So rerecording them could have good results, but I'm not sure their current sound is well suited to it.

Well I think the rerecorded version of Curse the Gods on The Antichrist* sounded great, so I'm looking forward to this.

*hidden track, I don't know if it's on every version... I own the one with the slipcase, and it has this bonus song.

Cracked brain is amazing and fuckin' underrated. Very technical thrash, with crazy solos.

Yeah I got the version with Curse the Gods, it never leaves my pathetically small mp3 player.

Has anyone seen the Destruction DVD? I'm considering buying it, as the setlist is pretty awesome for it and it apparently has great bonus features.

Why would they want to re-record in the first place? What's wrong with their older stuff. The last re-record I heard (Dimmu's Stormblast) was a total letdown. It's just like any classic movie being remade........utter rubbish.
