This is my favorite Ozzy Osbourne album (with No Rest For The Wicked at a close second). Pretty much every song on here, except may be Hellraiser, is classic. With my favorites being S.I.N., Mr. Tinkertrain (despite its somewhat disturbing lyrics), and the title track (which, for the record, I've always interpreted as a song about a serial killer who murders a woman, but just as he's killing her, finds himself falling in love with her and then at the end feeling guilty/bad about what he did).

What does everybody else think?

Every song is a classic even Hellraiser. Why wouldn't Hellraiser be?

Whatever Zakk Wylde touches is gold.

Hit for me. The CD fits that period of rock music with it's cocaine fueled high energy popularized by GNR.

On a side note, I don't really like the title of the song Momma I'm Coming Home. I realize that it's about Ozzy's wife Sharon, and not his actual mother, but it just sounds...i dunno...lame blaring out of your sterio. I guess, at the very least, it was the perfect song to play in my car when I moved back in with my parents. It really highlighted the moment for me. Moma...Moma I'm coming home! :dio:

I don't think Hellraiser's a bad song by any means. I just don't really like it very much (more a personal thing than a qualitative thing).

I hate to admit it, but Down To Earth has actually been growing on me quite a bit lately. When I first bought it about six months ago, I didn't really like it. But recently, I've given it another chance. And the more I listen to it, the more I find myself appreciating and enjoying it. I still think there are several misfires on the album (Gets Me Through, while musically strong, has some really lame lyrics). There's nothing really new or innovative on the album (it's basically Ozzy repeating what he did on No More Tears). And Ozzy's voice really went to pot (not that he was ever a very good singer to begin with - but here, he sounds worse than ever). But it really does have a lot of great songs on it (Facing Hell, That I Never Had, No Easy Way Out, Running Out Of Time, Black Illusion, and yes even Dreamer). I really do suggest giving it a few more listens if you found you didn't like it when first listening to it. It really starts to grow on you after a while.
