Just discovered this band. Apparently they have about 6 albums out. They play a highly melodic progressive power metal with clear neo-classical overtones. Yeah, you say, I've heard this before. Maybe, but not this good! Forget writing off every Italian band as copycats, because these guys just might have it in them.

I know it's a bit redundant to compare these guys to, what, Dream Theater?, but hey, it's good that someone's trying.

This is a great band, although their CDs vary a bit as far as progginess. I like just about all of their CDs though.
:)

Looking forward to their new one...

Hmh, are you referring to their early albums or the newer era with the new singer? They are totally different! Their first album was "almost good", too uncoherent, but their second album is a MASTERPIECE of metal, one of the best ever created! It's a fraking shame they lost their singer  The 2 albums I've heard after that have been nowhere near the power metalness and catchiness of Wings Of Time, they are much much more generic. Had I heard them from album no. 3 or 4 I might have never even picked them up! :lame: And I don't think they've changed for better since that... I'd wish I was wrong

(I have short (old) reviews for their 3 first albums on my site! Though I just notice that I might have been a bit too generous with the ratings on their 1st and 3rd... I'll add DGM on my (long) do list, so I'll do the rest albums and better!)

I actually like this new DGM album, overall great melodies and they really know how to mix the progressive and power metal elememts well, it reminds of me a little of Mercenary's last album, great stuff also. :dio:

Having played it twice, it's very early Dream Theater. Still, not at all bad...
