Visions of Atlantis (VoA) is a Symphonic metal and Power metal band from Styria, Austria, founded in 2000.

This is what they say on Wikipedia.
Their site is: www.visionsofatlantis.com/
(it's down at the moment of writing this)

Well, i've just discovered this band (read about them in a metal magazine) and tried them.
I tried: Eternal Endless Infinity
The first listen was amazing!

My first impressions were:
-Obviously... Nightwish-style symphonic metal
-50/50 Woman's voice, Man's voice
-Very nice production.

On the scale of things, that first album is terrible compared to their 2nd album "Cast Away". They have a third album called "Trinity". I suggest you have a listen to those as they are heaps better than their debut

I heard a track from one of their earlier albums. Stunningly average, have they improved?

I like both of their first 2 CDs (though the 2nd is surely better), and I should have their new 3rd CD spinning in a few days...

I hope you guys don't miss out on Wildpath:
