I only heard it once as I write, but I wanted to share my first direct thoughts:
1.It's midtempo most with only 1 song being faster like, say,...Farewell
2.It has modern touches (samples,drum-machine beats,distorted vocals)
3.It has some beautiful melodies and CHORUSES (which The Black Halo lacked somewhat...IMHO...I'm more of an Epica fan than The Black Halo anyways so maybe I'm a little biased)
4.It's short . One 1 min intro and 9 ~4.20 min songs)
5.I have to let it sink in to get a clearer picture of the atmosphere
6.It has cool solo's
7.BUT nothing MINDBLOWING EXTRAORDINARY....:(...yet
For now it's behind Epica,Karma,TBH but I'll come back with a deffinitive opinion lol...
P.S. And by the way the new Symphony X has leaked also (didn't want write yet another "The new..... has leaked" post). It is very good,very fast, very heavy but I don't like the raspy voice of Russel Allen soooo much.That's like its biggest downpoint. It's sort of like The Odissey but more melodic and not so "direct".It has no 20 min epic,only a 10 min one heheheh. A very good album (better than the new Kamelot dare I say). I have to let this one sink in also...
