Personally I havent heard all that much of the modern US Widow, but what I have heard didnt impress me too much, however, I just got the NWOBHM Widow's self titled album, and it is the type of dark soulful Black sabbath rocking that any metal fan should enjoy. Very awesome album, good rocking riffs, but mostly it's the atmosphere of the album that gets you. It's very subtle and has a huge classic rock kind of feel to it. Not your typical NWOBHM, very dark and moody. Excellent album. I suggest it to all. If you're interested email me and I'll send you a copy. |

oh don't say that. The old Widow has a special ambient quality that makes them great! |

Well that's kinda the reason I'm not really into them I never liked atmospheric nwobhm very much, u know, Witchfynde (or witchfynder general, can't remeber now) and that sort of stuff. I'm more into the rock n rollin side, like Virtue, Tokyo Blade, Limelight etc
