Holy shit, I just got Stronger than Evil a few weeks ago and just finally got to sit down and give it a good thorogh listen. This album is fucking brilliant. Phil Lynott even does bass for one of the songs. This is some truly catchy epic metal. Too bad no one can write songs like this any more. The song writing is incredible and the vocals kick so much ass. I am so fucking excited to have found this band, metal lately hasnt given me much to be excited about, but this band is a breath of fresh air.

Nah I don't think so. I think it would be a little more obvious. Here's a test. Insult one of his favorite bands and see if he flips
Actually Ken left on the 8th and this guy joined on the 8th, so it's a possibility

Get "Death or Glory" as well! And the 7'' "Take me away" and "Monsters of the night"! Come to think of it you are wrong! Heavy Load are better than about 99% of all metal bands!

Trivia : Yngwie Malmsteen was once member of heavy load, and there's a demo with him on guitar

Pretty good but not really anything extremely special. But then give how many bands are about that are completely inept, I suppose you could say that HL are better than 96% of them.

Did Ken leave again? He is more emo then a 13 year old girl having her first period.

It would be nice if when someone found the greatest band of all time they posted a sound clip.

Shit I'm almost 40 and never heard of these guys, the internet is cool......

I downloaded the Death n Glory album. It is ok for what it is. I would have dug it when I was 15 probably. The Guitar work is bad ass for back then though.

The vocals are awesome. The melodies and layers they use are great. Everything is done really well, it might not be the most innovative or technically awe inspiring, but the music has a special quality to it that most modern bands wholly lack.

I know what you mean, but I find that with a lot of bands of that period as well. It has lots of spirit :)

Don't judge Heavy Load by today's standards. For their time and age they were innovative and influential to the entire Swedish metal scene. Even Malmsteen heralds them as an influence.
