Running Wild, i am falling in love with them.
The thing i like the most about them is the raw sound, so any similar reccomendation would be great!

Helloween's early stuff.

More on the thrash side, but Exciter and Razor are also worth a mention. Razor's stuff with Sheepdog McLaren on vocals is their best.

Maybe Paragon? Check them out. Old Grave Digger is cool too and has rough vocals, not high pitched cleans.

I just barely expanded my number of bands in the Iron Maiden/Running Wild style about a year ago. Off the top of my head, I'd recommend these:

Iron Fire
Made of Iron
Twisted Tower Dire
Fates Prophecy
Thunderbolt
Metalucifer
Metal Inquisitor
Destillery
Pharaoh
Omen
Wolf

.... some of these may lean more towards Maiden, but still, you may dig them.

Also, if you want to go a bit heavier and faster, check out these:

Wizard
Paragon
Predator
Solemnity
Gamma Ray
Hibria
Reviver
Burning in Hell
Stormwarrior
Storm Hammer
Thunderblast
Iron Savior

....there are others too.

Clint

geez Dago I hope youre talking about older Running Wild. The new stuff is pretty boring. But if you like their sound then I suggest you get the first Cloven Hoof album, Hansi, Rockin Rolf, the guy from Grave Digger, etc, they all sound like David Potter from Cloven hoof.

X- Wild (by ex running wild members) are the closest you can get to the "Death or Glory" era sound. 3 inches of blood have tons of RW references. Stormwarrior are also a must. But tbh RW have so many albums, I think they're enough for two lifetimes :P

This may be a stupid question, but have you heard older Blind Guardian? Check out "Follow The Blind" if you haven't.

You would remember if you've heard it. Check out "Follow the Blind." That's my favorite Blind Guardian speed metal album.
