That's sad man. From what I read from the website, I believe that since their album got to No.2 on the charts here, they felt Maiden had a huge fan base, so they decided to tour India. Maiden is very popular among the metal heads over here. The only band that beats Maiden in terms of popularity or "my favourite band" is Metallica. |

Are they going to do the AMOLAD tour or the "Golden Years" tour? I've read somewhere that the golden years tour would just have stuff from powerslave, somewhere in time, seventh son and no prayer. Can you imagine a concert like that? ![]() ![]() ![]() |

The new album made the top 20 here when it was released....isnt that enough? Get your asses over here! |

" So, I guess they will be playing other stuff too. |

That means the set will have 5 or 6 songs from AMOLAD plus: -Iron Maiden -Wrathchild -The Number Of The Beast -Hallowed Be Thy Name -The Trooper -Two Minutes to Midnight -no song from Somewhere in time -Can I play with madness OR The Evil That Men Do -no song from No Prayer for the Dying -Fear of The Dark -MAYBE The Sign Of The Cross -MAYBE The Clansmann -Brave New World -Rainmaker or Montsegur Maiden sets are so predictable, that's my only complaint about them. |

Been to the Maiden concert and it was great ! My friend(who is not a metalhead) suggested we go early(we reached at 11.45 am) which turned out to be a waste as they let us in only at 3pm. The show started with some stupid band called FTN(Fucking The Name) and they bored the hell out of the audience. You could see a flurry of middle fingers being raised and people screaming "Fuck you". The vocalist was good, but the songs were boooooooooring and moreover, it was stupid rap metal that I can't stand. Up next was another Indian band, Parikrama and they were brilliant. They really got the crowd going. I used to wonder wat people meant by saying that a band was not good thinking that all the bands do the same thing, they play songs and go. But this concert made me realize that there are some bands that just know how to energize the crowd. Lauren Harris was next. They, especially the lead guitarist, were good, but not as good as Parikrama. By the time, people became tired and started screaming "Fuck you" again. The kings finally arrived around 8 and just ripped the stage apart. Very lively and energetic, hard to believe they are nearing their 50s. They played the first 4 tracks off the new album, Wrathchild, FOTD, The Evil That Men Do, Iron Maiden, Two Minutes To Midnight, Run To The Hills and Hallowed Be Thy Name (Yeah Pasqua, you were right). Seems someone told Bruce that Bangalore had been waiting 17 years for this. Don't ask me why 17 years. Well, he promised it won't even be 17 months before they are back. A second coming? That would be great ! Honestly speaking, I really dint like people dissing bands. Yeah, they may not have liked them. But, instead of screaming what I felt, I thought it better just to stand there unmoved and wait till the boring FTN finished. Well, Sepultura is coming in April. I won't be going, not much into them and then in October, the mighty Megadeth is coming. I sure as hell will be there ![]() |
