The EP "Bedlam" was rather disappointing but I'm still curious to hear this one. I hope it sounds more like "Plague-House Puppet Show" than the EP. We'll just have to wait and see... :D

Man I hope this is good. Bedlam was pretty bad, but their first two were damn awesome.

Oh, hadn't heard about this one yet. I hope it doesn't sound anything like BOTH their previous outings!!!!1 The first one was and is one of the best albums ever. It's been a steep decline since... Where's the solid/catchy songs? That would be a good start. But judging from the songtitles and cover this will be more of the same trying-to-be-80's-hair-metal-with-a-party-touch-but-failing-so-much.

Fucking weird song titles... Pimps, Witches, Thieves & Bitches  Are they going cheerful or what ? Let's hope they don't do something like Edguy.

Who wants to bet that Swinelords will have more 80's rock than PHPS. :)

You are basically paraphrasing what I just said and what I also fear! :lame:

Yeah right, except that you posted it a few seconds before I did so I never had a chance to read it before posting my comment. :lame:

What exactly are we arguing here ?

You really believe that ? :D

ok seriously now, i'm not gonna delve into this further. I'm just going to point out that your comment wasn't there when I started typing mine, few seconds later I posted right beneath yours with apparently 1 hour difference....what a mystery. peace \/

Back on topic I think Bedlam was quite nice. The songs were different and took some getting used to but Space Of Disgrace, Rolling Heads and Plague Overload are as good as any song on PHPS.

I thought the opposite. I thought it was poo. Then again, I've only listened to it once, but my expectations very much higher so... :lame:

Lol...those track titles are bloody strange...wakes me wonder what the hell this album is gonna sound like...

I hope they go back to the sound from their debut album...i thought Plague-House Puppet Show was a tad disappointing...wasnt really thrilled with their change of sound.

Still will be interested in this one

Ah, nice to see someone else being more of a fan of the first album! :)
Coz I just ran into argument with some asswipes on a Finnish forum where they praise the contrary  I mean, I understand why someone might like it, but to say it's the most über thing with the best songs since Jesus AND then saying the first album was some second rate mediocricy with so-and-so songs is god damn f'king idiotic!! Graagh!!

Bump.

The album has leaked. I haven't heard it, but one of my friends said it was terrible. Apparently they've gone total hard rock.

So your friend says the album is terrible just because it's hard rock ?

I'll be hearing this soon anyway and if it's close to PHPS i'll be a happy man. :)

It's modern hard rock. I'm so fucking disappointed with this. The vocals are stale, there is hardly any range. The music is dumbed down to the point where it pisses me off. I'm all for hard rock, but this is just bad.

I'm hoping I missed something. I'll give it a few more spins.

Ok so i've went through the album once. Compared to PHPS this is bad but on its own Swinelords is a decent rock album. I admit for being too optimistic about this because of their last year EP, Swinelords however sounds nothing like Bedlam.
The opener Isolation Shell is probably the worst song here along with that crappy acoustic song Not A Word. I actually skipped that song halfway through, it was that annoying. Vocally I hear no problems except with those 2 songs that's why I think Isolation Shell is a bad choice for an album opener. My choice for killer songs would be Swinelords, Vice Jesus, P., W., T. & B. ( ) and With The Flow. Right now i'd give this album 70/100

I can't get the melody of Vice Jesus out of my head. :dio:

I'm really diggin' the new album. It's still got the same Twilightning guitar sound and Heikki Pöyhiä's vocals are as good as ever. So we'll have to get used to no keyboards  .
