Unicorn is a band Dan started when he was in his mid- to late-teens. It's very different from the bands he's most know for. It's prog-rock, but on the light, fluffy side. It's not for everyone, mind. But there are some really great songs that came out of these demos—and the two full-length albums (not included here).
His upcoming Second Sky album is supposed to be the new Unicorn; so this should give you something of an idea of what to expect.
It's pretty amazing when you think that he was like 16 or 17 when these demos were recorded.
