Dark Moor returns with an album that blows 2005's Beyond the Sea to pieces. Its huge, symphonic, great solos, the vocals kicks ass. I really worried about this band after their last album but now all fears have been dispelled!! Welcome back Dark Moor!

Oh man I hope you're right. Beyond the Sea was horrible.

The new song sounds promising :dio: . Imo Dark Moor hasn't released anything spectacular since Elisa left. There was one great song on Beyond the Sea (The Silver Key) apart from that it was a very average album. I'm pretty much writing this band off if Tarot isn't as good as you say.

Yeah. Good band. I am too anticipating, but agree that things have went downhill since Gates of Oblivion which was a great cd! Then some Eps with some cool stuff, then a pretty decent s/t with the new vox and then a major oops with Beyond the Sea. It was one of those great musicianship albums that goes nowhere (if you know what I mean..almost a snoozer). Hopefully they can get back to writing Great Songs and Keeping the obvious excellent musicianship!
I will buy it, but I am a Discography Junkie to bands I like so that is not really saying much..lol

Speaking of this band.
Does anyone here have the Fall of Melnibone (EP) that they would like to sell. I am willing to pay good money for it!
If anyone would like to dump it let me know I have been looking for years.
Thanks, Jeff

Not bad, it certainly didn't put me to sleep like the songs I heard from their last two outputs did, but it still somewhat lacks the fire and pure magic of Hall of the Olden Dreams. That's actually the only Dark Moor I've heard in its entirety, which is funny considering I love the album so much, I must've spun it some 25 times by now. Should pick up Gates of Oblivion some time this spring I suppose.

Anyways, things seem to be looking up a bit for this band and I'll certainly check out their upcoming album but it's hard to make a qualified guess on the general quality based solely on this song.

NP - The Star

This is already better than Beyind the Sea, but I'm only three tracks in.

Ok, about three spins now and this is a huge improvment from their last album. It still doesn't compare to some of their older stuff, but it is still damn good. Dark Moor fans can feel better now. 80/100
