These Polish ppl take the complex but melodic, composed and movemented instrumentation of King Crimson's instrumentals and mix it with a touch of Tool (if they were insturmental... and had a violinist) with very cool results. They also have a violinist which adds a very cool touch to the songs, and Riverside's vocalist Mariusz Duta (sp?) guests on 2 of their songs (I don't like them that much). Anyways I think they're worth checking out www.myspace.com/indukti |

I own an album of theirs. Its very good. Riverside is def a good band to compare them too in feel. i love Riverside and find Indukti to be a sort of instrumental version of them. Noodles, I find it very strange that you would like Indukti and not like Riverside. The two sort of go hand in hand in my opinion. I dont know what from Riverside you have listened to but you should try and listen to the second album, Second Life Syndrome. Especially songs like teh title track, which is 15+ minutes, and Artificial Smile, Volte-Face, and Dance With The Shadows. All fo those songs kick serious ass. |

If noodles admitted he liked Riverside he wouldn't feel as cool, since they're somewhat known and stuff. |

I thought Second Life Syndrome was pretty cool, although I haven't redownloaded it since I deleted my whole music collection, so it didn't leave that huge of an impression on me. The I don't like them that much comment was @ the two vocal songs on Indukti's album... I thought that they didn't really work with the album's vibe very well. |

Try spending hard-earned MONEY on music; maybe then you could appreciate it more. |

Second Life Syndrome has actually been sitting at a cd store I go to for like 6 months and I've thought of buying it, but it's not really worth spending 25$ on. I have the Indukti album on CD but never listen to it because then I have to sit through or skip the 2 vocal songs. |

Find alternative means to buy music cheaper. Stealing music gives you no appreciation for it. |

You really need to let good albums sink in over some time. Riverside has to catch you at the right moment. I owned their first CD for almost a year before it stuck with me. When it did they became a top two band for me. And Second Life Syndrome became one of my favorite albums ever. It is music that demands attention. Buy the CD and listen to it. Dont ever throw out or delete music. |
