The Dark Ages is up on the myspace page. It's a more developed song than the first. It's rough as hell and needs serious mixing. It's still good enough to listen to.

It's not thrash. Harbinger is definately not a thrash metal band.

As a matter of fact, this song is fucking power metal (with a lot of Maiden), and very nicely done. However, I'm not for the gritty production like HT is, but it is definitely a kick ass track that could be damn amazing with a studio recording.

The drum, bass, and rhtyhm guitar tracks were done in the studio, but alas we ran out of funding so I've been doing stuff on my computer. That's why it has such a shitty mix.

Awesome, liked it alot. Sucks about the budget thing, it really would sound incredible beefed up.

I actually didn't think that the production was that bad. Could be better, but its definitely pretty metal and good.

To me it sounds abit distant, like there is a wall between you and the band, I just think it would sound better if it sounded like I was in the same room as the band, metaphorically speaking. I wasnt really ragging on it or anything, like he said, lack of funds, so its understandable and for something done on the comp at home, yeah it sounds awesome. But I wouldnt pay money for anything that sounded like that... Just saying.

Invest in a digital recorder and a mixing board. Something like the Boss BR1180 or something.

dude, sorry i was such a shit before. This stuff is good!
I just think you should lose some of the crash. I prefer my drumming pounding and galloping...

I like it very cool. Are you the guitar player? I like your decisons on when to change tempos and shift riffs and intertwine melody. there ae a lot of more talented/well known type guitarists that could take some notes here.
Or heck , maybe you guys are just good songwriters in general :)

Keep up the good work
Your stuff totally brings me back to being 15 to 18 years old (some 14 to 17 years ago) when you could actually feel the "passion" and "artistry" playing a crucial role and keeping the mainstream or commercail totally out. It is good to "hear" that you dont only "talk the talk" but "walk it too"

I hear a touch of 70s scorpions feel in that ending??
Are you a micheal or rudolph or Uli fan as well??
Very Classic finishing touch

That is exactly what we were going for. Something like In Trance or Fly to the Rainbow type stuff. Early Scorpions is the biggest influence for that song. Glad you felt it too.

looks like we're going to finish up the songs in the studio. The Dark Ages, Harbinger, and the rest of the songs will be re-recorded in a proper setting. So who knows when that will be.
