This band is really reminding me Sonata Arctica in how they evolve. Their first 2 albums were standart euro power metal with repetitive drumming, weak sounding singer and catchy keyboards. Now, just like SA although for them it was 4th album, they very much ditched the keys for a heavier sound. So what changed and what didn't: keys on this album have a background, atmospheric role and are barely noticeable; songs are more varied and have a thicker sounding guitars; singer still sounds weak on most songs and the band really needs to find someone better. Overall MMC is harder to get into and it's not their best album (that title goes to Legacy Of Hate). First 3 songs are the best and have retained some of the epic feel of the previous album .

I first thought of opening a thread about it but i had a feeling it won't get much of a response. Well here it is, i guess i've changed my mind (Mortal Mind Creation wtf does that mean anyway? ). People who are interested in the band should check out the new album.

Check out Lord Of Mortals on their myspace: Myspace If you don't like it don't bother, it's one of the better songs.

I have Reign Of Elements, which was not bad for a debut. Some pretty good songs, but sometimes the accent annoyed me. But hey, English is their 2nd language.
I havent heard anything from their 2nd album but i heard it was an improvement. I've tried to find it and download it, but not many people have it.

So what's the 3rd album like. Better than both their 1st and 2nd efforts?

To me it's like this: 1st<3rd<2nd

You might want to try and find Legacy Of Hate. They changed singers and tried using some growling (probably to hide his weak voice and add more variation). Songs are epic with great keyboard solos, like you said a major improvement over the debut....except the drummer who still abuses the double bass pedal.
Just don't expect the same SA inspired power metal on their 3rd release. Try the song on myspace for an idea of how it sounds.

So you'd have their debut as their best release?

Hint: Legacy Of Hate=2nd album

Hint: Reign Of Elements weaker than Mortal Mind Creation weaker than Legacy Of Hate hence the 1st<3rd<2nd. Legacy Of Hate owns both albums. You feeling okay ?

I just wanted to double check. Sometimes i get confused with the < and >. Gimme a break, its after 4am where i am, brain is kind of shutting down for the night.
Thank you anyway for clarifying...although you didnt have to do it the way you did.

Off to look for Legacy Of Hate...again.....

I like the Celesty debut better than their 2nd CD.

... I even dig the cheesy ballad at the end.

Just got the new one in the mail today... looking forward to getting this into rotation. :D

Yeah the Celesty debut is a classic in cheesyness among my records. But it's got great melodies and some kickass galloping songs and that's all it needs.

LOL.. I love that ballad as well. Maybe we are the only two on earth that do, but heck I love the cheesy ballad on the latest White Skull album which turned out to be the only song I really liked on that album..lol!

Got the new Celesty in rotation now...
I'm not blown away but I like it. Certainly recommended to fans of their previous CDs. I probably like the new Axenstar better though.
