its nice that they're filming it in their hometown so they'll definitely get a good crowed reaction

Maybe they'll catch him pissed, and there will be Benny Hill levels of hilarity.

Killer setlist. Maybe one or two more from Dreaming Neaon Black should have been there, Beyond Within or Poison God Machine, but even so it's a really great selection.

Nevermore is another one of those bands I wish I could love. I don't know what it is. I like Dane's voice and I love Sanctuary's refuge denied album but fuck i have tried Dreaming Neon Black, Dead Heart and the newest one, the newest one comes closest to getting me off but still lacks. What is wrong with me? I think it just gets to disjointed at times for me. It for sure isn't Dane, I dig him.

That happened to me too. I just couldn't get into this band. In my case the reason was that I liked Sanctuary so much, especially Into The Mirror Black (I still do), and when they split up and Nevermore was formed I bought their s/t (an old tape back in the day, on which there was written: Nevermore is Sanctuary) expecting something in the vein of ITMB. I was so disapointed... Nevermore is completely different from Sanctuary, everything, from the style of riffing to the way Dane's using his voice. I was expeting something very melodic, speedy and flashy, like Sanctuary was, and Nevermore's music was far from that. The same happened with Politics of Extasy. I think only around Dreaming Neon Black I was finally able to accept that this is a different band with a different style and different approach to music, and I discovered how great it was. Been a fan ever since.

Probably because of this, I still don't like their first two albums as much as the ones that followed.

I would have liked to see more Dead Heart songs as its my favorite album by them, We Disintegrate and Believe In Nothing I would have liked to see. Oh and seeing The Sound of Silence live would have been sweet. But other than those 3 songs missing, it really is a good list, cant wait.

I used to like Nevermore, but now it bores me, i dont hate them though, but it seems that im never in the mood for nevermore anymore, when the new album came out i was looking forward to it, but i only gave it like 4 spins and i have never heard it since, and its not only the new one, all of their previous albums are out of my playlist, this have never happen to me with other bands, and like you said i cant seem to find anything wrong with them, i just dont feel like listen to nevermore.

I really respect Nevermore, and I enjoy their albums immensely, but for some reason the operatic vocal style is really greating on me recently. I still like them, but I never really feel compelled to listen to them, so the only time I'll hear something by the is if they pop up on random on my mp3 player.

As for the DVD setlist its cool that they to have chosen the setlist especially for it. Rather than just playing tracks from their new album, they're sampling from their entire discography, which is very :dio: .
