Post subject: | Exeptionally skilled musicians and their bands |
Musicians generally regarded as being exeptionally talented at their instruments. The likes of these for example: John Petrucci - Dream Theater Michael Romeo - Symphony X Gus G - Firewind, Dream Evil Yngvie Malmsteen - Yngvie Malmsteen's Rising Force Jens Johansson - Stratovarius Technicality is one part of it, but other abilities counts aswell, like ability to compose and write etc. List all artists you can think of, and the bands they've been in and are in aswell. Have fun. |

and no one's surprised. He's a great player, but I wish he'd be more involved in songwriting. I have to mention Steve Harris, for his playing and also the fact that he's a chief songwriter. |

Chris Caffery seems a little underrated.. or maybe Im just missing all the posts praising him. Gus G, say what you want about him, I think he is great. Marco Hietala for his bass playing, singing and song writing in both Tarot and Nightwish. Daniel Heiman for his singing in Lost Horizon Nils Patrik Johansson for his singing in Wuthering Heights and the newest Astral Doors album.. Definately a new favorite singer for me. Every member of Rush for kicking ass at eveything they do for over 30 years now. |
