Am I the only one who thinks Daniel Heiman from Lost Horizon (and now Heed) is the most talented metal singer ever?

I just saw a Lost Horizon live concert in Google video, and it's amazing how he can scream (and I mean screeeeammm) the same high notes he sings on the studio recordings ... just incredible.

Heiman is one of the all-time greats, no doubt. Whether or not he is recognised as such is irrelevant.

OUtstanding! Though i cant get myself into the Heed much. I guess I cant get pass some of the 90s metal elements that pop up here and there. I know it is meaningless, but somehow i cant get passed the one word song titles either? Is something wrong with me? It reminds me when grunge did away with dirty rock n'roll. Maybe i am a prejudice old man now...ugh :(

On the subject at hand. He is in my Top 5 Power metal Vocalists of all time!

That bootleg is great. It would have been better if they still had Wojtek when it was recorded, songs like Pure just don't sound as good with the lead parts getting played on keyboard.

And don't knock the cloak! Especially if you've seen how he dresses these days.

Agreed ... but anyway, that bootleg still beats lots of official live DVD performances I've seen released by other bands.

Yeah he is great, but there are a shitload of others out there who can compete (kind of).

Yes, Heiman is an amazing vocalist. One of the very best of the last few years for sure. I absolutely love vocalists who can sing those high notes while making it sound so easy, like it's just natural for them. I would definitely compare Heiman to Michael Kiske and Rob Halford (some years back) in that way.

I've seen Lost Horizon live with Daniel Heiman three times (including that Gates of Metal show) and there is no doubt he really delivers live, not just studio.

NANA NANANA NANA NANANA NANANAAAA !!! - Highlander (The One) :dio:

Fuck fuck fuck, I had the chance to see them live at Gates of Metal a few years ago, but I didn't know about them then

Heiman is in my all-time top 3, his vocal performance on Highlander (The One) is quite possibly the best vocal performance in the history of metal. Fucking mindblowing.

Agreed. That song almost makes the rest of the songs seem boring (even tho they are not!) I keep finding myself repeating it excessively :)

Now keep in mind, I didn't look through my CD collection or anything, but I feel very confident that Tobias Althammer on Lanfear's 'Another golden rage' is the the CD with the best vocal performance in my entire collection.

Daniel on 'Flame...' would probably be my 2nd choice, then Bruce on Iron Maiden's 'Somewhere in time' (my favorite CD from the 80s).

Clint

NP: Epidemia (debut... this band is so awesome!!! :D )

i dunno, fiind his voice lacks a depth, a certain emotion, needed to give a feel to the general music. he's an extremely good singer, but in my opinion... lacks something.
