Post subject: I <:> <:> Queensryche last night
PostPosted: Sat Jul 15, 2006 8:24 pm
I saw Queensryche last night damn some 15 years too late I say, these guys put on a really completely great show, (Mindcrime 1+2 ) was awesome I just love hearing great bands in small venues.

On the way to the concert I had brought my cellador cd to listen to in the car and the lads had there first listen to them ,We got out of the car and waited in line , Not 2 seconds had pasted some dudes we met began to tell us about this new band called Cellador.I just looked at him and said " pal where have you been there old news "....I rattled off the tracklist and he looked as is (Damn You)....We all had a laugh and keep on recounting metal concert stories...
I forgot to mention I live in Melbourne , Australia it is indeed a small world.

I must say the metalNESS is quite possibly the greatest streat teamer alive!

Queensryche are awesome live! Some tools will tell you that Geoff can't sing anymore! Hahahahaha! Did they do only Mindcrime I and II, or did they do a few others? That's a long show either way. Glad you finally go to see them live. I saw them in 1989 on their original Mindcrime tour and didn't pay attention, boo'd them until they left the stage! Hahaha. I'd never heard of them, and I only wanted to see the almighty Def Leppard. Oh, if I could go back in time.

Cool, i'll be seeing Queensryche tonight in Brisbane. What is the tracklist? I know they arent gonna play Operation Mindcrime 1 and 2 in full.

Doubtful it's gonna be anywhere as good as Operation Livecrime, but i got a free entry anyway.

Operation LIVEcrime II (did anyone not see this coming?) is coming out this Fall. It'll be a double-CD affair, one for each album.

I saw them on Promised Land with Type O who had Bloody Kisses out at the time. Weird line up, great show. I only like a couple of songs off of Promised Land (not a good album) and they played them both and did a bunch of set ups for it. Suite Sister Mary live is fucking incrediable. So is Take Hold of the Flame and Dream in infarred (fuck what an awesome song). Actually I am a HUGE Rage for Order fan.

Hope they are better live then the bullshit albums they have put out for like over 15 years now.

Promised Land is an awesome album, highly underrated. Share my opinion, fag!

And Rage For Order is my favorite album! Ever heard the song "Rage For Order?" It's excellent. Part of "Anarchy-X" was taken from that song.

I saw them at Sweden Rock last month, wasn't too impressed. All the stuff from Mindcrime 1 was of course awesome and the stuff from part 2 was good to ok to bleh. My problem with it was the way they conduct themselves live - Tate and a sagging Pamela Moor mincing around the stage (over)acting out the songs with stupid props while the rest of the band stand rooted to the spot for the full gig - no "thank you" between songs, no "clap clap clap/hey hey hey" moments, no foot on the monitor soloing. I didn't go to watch a broadway show, you know?

Well, it is somewhat of a rock opera, but I agree that Geoff rolling around the stage is a bit stupid. Hehe.

It appeared nowhere, it's an unreleased demo. I will try and post some demos tonight when I get home from work.
