OK, for the record, that subject is just a joke. Can someone explain this to me:

I am utterly baffled. How in the fuck does that video end up on ANY show that is aired by MTV in 2006?? What is going on here? Are major labels looking to exploit power metal now like they recently did with stoner rock?

Looks like it. Cellador was on MTV2 as well.

Think about it: Jet, The Darkness, The [Stupid Names], those kinds of bands that always pop up when the mainstream media tries to force feed consumers a new brand of anything, there are going to be power metal bands like this if this is a trend. I'm sad inside. :(

Yeah, 3 Inches of Blood (fake fuckers) and kno w Dragonforce. You know what, I don't get it though, there are tons of bands like Dragonforce, why are they like the Hot Topic ticket? I don't care, I hope they make a ton of money and shit, they are ok just not my thing (and kinda gay) but I don't get it.

Why them and not Edguy?

DragonForce are getting more attention for two reasons:
-Exposure from Roadrunner in the US/Metal Hammer (magazine) in the UK
-OMfG! They is play solos! Like TRIVIUMS!!!

Bands like Edguy don't go fast enough to appeal to kidz who like the 'intensity' (I use the term very liberally) of 'core bands.

This emo walks past me the other day and says "Yeah I was lsitenin to Slayer and Megadeth a--" I turn around "You don't fuckin listen to that! Fuck off and listen to ---" Etc. I was actually truly offended. When a metal band gets big within metal, great for them. If the band gets big in and outside of metalheads, great. When a band gets mainstream big then I get annoyed.
