I've made it five songs into the new Blind Guardian and :shock: :shock: !!!!! It's awesome!!!!

I'm about half way through my second listen now. This is definitely ANATO, but with less voiceovers. It is fucking amazing. It’s as progressive as ANATO and keeps the Blind Guardian Bard feel throughout the entire album. "Turn the Page," "Straight Through the Mirror," "This Will Never End," and "Fly" are my favorite songs so far.

Any chance of you reveling where you d/led it from?? It sounds to good to have to wait until september to hear it.

I hope I don't over hype this for you guys. ANATO is my favorite BG, so if you're not a fan of that then don't get your hopes up for this.

Blind Guardian rules. A Night At The Opera is my favorite Power Metal album ever, so I really cannot wait for this one bit.

I've listened to it once and it's pretty fucking awesome.

If you like ANATO and Nightfall... you'll love this album. If you want the early, thrashier shit, don't bother.

This album kicks ass so far, even though I do think the thrashier stuff is better.

I like anato too, but I find it hard to believe that anyone can like it better than nightfall. I've loved to whole progression of them, but you guys need to let nightfall be your favorite BG album. That album destroys all epic power metal albums before it...it set the bar.

Yeah, I cant listen to this because of that talking prick, it totally kills it for me. Whatever happened to the good old days of bands packing mp3s with viruses, at least Norton could get rid of it, last I checked though, Norton cant get rid of a stupid cunt talking over a song.

From the few seconds Ive heard from select songs it sounded good though.. I think I'll just wait for this one, as hard as that will be.

EDIT: @Reverend Clayton: I actually find Nightfall to be one of their worst. I like it more than their first two albums, but its my least favorite from everything starting with TFTTW all the way up to ANATO. I dunno, I seem to be alone on that one, ah well. Its still a good album though, dont get me wrong.

I think there's too much going on in Nightfall, all the little interludes and spoken bits kind of fuck with the flow of the album. Great album, though.
