Two albums at the top of each page. Note the suspiciosuly similar tracklisting? None of the promotional stuff for Living Dead even seems to suggest its just a rejigging of an old album. I've even seen an interview where he's talking about the writing of the album as if it happened a few weeks ago. :?

I like his voice, but i have not heard good things from his solo recordings. Is this true?

His Killers stuff (the band not the Maiden album) is good but not great.

Are you familiar with Battlezone? They were decent enough.

I think he was a better fit, but we are going to be in the minority . I think this was a poll at one time and the Dickinson fans won overwhelmingly :(
I like Bruce too, but the first two albums stick with me better

thanks to Bruce, Iron Maiden became immensely popular... I don't think that would have happened with Paul...

keep in mind that my two fav' IM albums are Killer & Piece of Mind, I'm not a Paul hater and I actually really enjoyed the punky vibe he gave to the band... but I don't think we'll be discussing IM that much if Bruce hadn't replaced him...

Well Dickenson is awesome too, I just don't really care for the progressive tendencies that started to show up in the music after he joined. Whereas, with Paul every song went right to the point. And that point was to kick ass.

IMO, paul was a great singer. like said, he gave the band a rea; punky feeling and all his stuff went straight to the point. but on the other hand, i love bruce. he gave a very atmopheric feel to the band. till today im a fan of bruce, not just because of hallowed be thy name, trooper or the rest. in fact, it was for revelation, probably the most underrated maiden song. he brought in more melodies and progression. IMO, maiden grew to be a better band with the inclusion of bruce.

but im not condemning paul. as i said, i enjoy him as well. but u got to understand why he got the boot, cos of his boozin n dopin which harris never tolerated. on the other hand, i think bruce fans shouldnt look down on paul cos he only spent a few years with maiden before he got the sack (bruce has had a good 16-17 years collectively). assuming he did not dable with drugs n booze, who knows? he would even improve as a vocalist and kick bruce's ass?
