Apparently, for Operation Mindcrime II's release, they're going to do what they did when the first one came out: Play Operation Mindcrime (and Operation Mindcrime II now), and use actors to act out the story. Its supposed to be a great experience.

I saw them on Promised Land with Type O, great show (I am getting old though), better because they didn't play a lot of Promised Land thank god.

See now you guys are just trying to antagonize me. PL was a crap out to cash in on changing tastes and the whole move towards grunge and some moderen emotional sound. Queensryche is a dead entity after Empire, you are seriously deluding yourself if you still consider this band worthwhile but more power to you if sub par music and songwriting can get you off, I wish I could be that easy and like everything.

Are you kidding? If QR have one album that they were trying to "cash in" with, it was fucking Empire! Promised Land is a dark, brooding album, but it's not even close to grunge! It's a great fucking album with great fucking songs. They could have written another album like Empire, but the didn't. They did something a little different, but in no way was it an album to try and cash in on a current trend.

lol, I hate it and think it sucks and doesn't sound like Queensryche, sue me. you can keep enjoying it, I won't take that away from you. I like the Bridge and that is it. I am I is horrid and I don't really remember any of the others. Since I threw the cassette in the garbage after listining to it a few times.

They deserved the cash from Empire, they earned it the hard way with a lot of work.

2nd best is a tie between Empire & Rage For Order 8)

Yeah I did because the lyrics meant a lot to me and I loved the vibe. I like Silent Lucidity too, a lot. Oh man, I am just a 1st 4 Queensryche album fan and in order at that, EP is stil lthe best. Lady wore Black, wholly fuck how good is that song?

Funny. It's probably my favorite song on the album because the lyrics meant a lot to me, too.

I like them all, but I feel Promised Land was their last great album. I like Hear In The Now Frontier, too. It's different, but Chris has a style of songwriting that I think fit better in QR so though it was different, I still think it's a very good album. The following albums are good, at best.

Ok I will at least admit, even though it sucked, Promised Land was really the last true Queensryche album.

Since Qeensryche is being discussed here........ just picked up OMC II and listened to almost the entire cd, but had to turn it off cos I had to rush to work. From what I've heard, it isn't that bad. It's pretty good though not good as OMC I. I loved Empire and OMC I. Haven't listened to other ryche albums though.
