How diverse are you?

Not long ago i got into in flames and i would recomend them to you because they are so different than the usual power metal stuff. And they are a good link to death metal and other types of metal.

I like everything up to Colony, but after that I can't say I enjoy them too much. I thought Jester Race and Lunar Strain were best. I know Whoracle gets a lot of press, its good, but I'd rank it with Colony, but then In Flames were getting short on ideas.

I could listen to death or black metal if it weren't for the vocals. I've got nothing against the intensity, distortion or brutality I just refuse to listen to the growling/screaming. I have no desire to learn to listen to it either, I don't even think it's very heavy. I do like harsh vocals though like Hansi Kürsch in his prime, and screamers like Udo Dirkshneider or Rob Halford.

I know what you're saying...that's what i always thought - the vocals are painfully awful!

But it's not like that...at least not with every band...try some in flames album (CLAYMAN) and i think you'll agree and maybe thank me or better yet give me some insight on some other interesting music!

Its not Winter....

For the record, Lunar Strain is the best In Flames I've heard, and people who refuse to listen to harsh vocals are gay.
