any opinions, recommendations?

I've heard Head of the Deceiver and Odin and like both.

Avoid their latest album (Magic Circle). The review on this site pretty much sums up my feelings on it.

Bound by Metal is an awesome album, the production isn't as good as Odin or head of the deciver but the music is at times better.

Decent band. They get a little boring after awhile, but Odin is definitely a kick ass album.

I got Head of the Deceiver and Odin. I rarely listen to them anymore.

Head of the Deceiver was one of my first metal albums so some of the songs I could consider classic. Odin is alot mellower and loses some of the TrueMetal Spirit of HotD but the songs are overall better.

Wizard tend to release one traditional metal album, and then one teutonic metal in a row. My personal fave is the debut, although I haven't listened to Odin to be honest. Anywayz, I love Wizard, it's not that they're original or ingenious, it's just well played cliche'd anthemic heavy metal that I love revisiting from time to time. Besides, how can you go wrong with "You are the scum of this world, you are the dust on the streets, you are the dirt under our nails"? METAAAAAAAAAAAAALLL!!!!
