A distant thunder is probably their best work, but Nosferatu is pretty good too. Hard to find though. |

I haven't heard Distant Thuder or Nosferatu, but Remnants of War is very good. |

A Distant Thunder is incredible, but Nosferatu beats it out slightly. Excellent and very underrated band. The first time I heard Winds of War, I about orgasmed. |

I love Multiples Of Black, but that's essentially a Distant Thunder album who is essentially Helstar so essentially Multiples Of Black is a Helstar album. Yeah. Buy them all, just don't buy the live album for more than $1. |

While you're downloading, pick up some Destiny's End. This is another power/speed metal band that James Rivera was in. They're awesome1 DESTINY'S END - TRANSITION and THE WATCHER (two songs) |

DESTINY'S END - TRANSITION and THE WATCHER (two songs) Thank ken! The watcher seems like a cross between two Distant Thunder songs, Hopless Creator and Souless inventions, lots of the lines are exactly the same, its as if the song was split in two. This is pretty awesome though, i'll have to track this one down too! |

Destiny's End have two albums, well worth finding both. You should be able to find them cheap if you're looking for CDs and not downloads. It may be harder to find downloads. |

I have Nosferatu...its pretty good. I like the guitar soloing best on that album. The vocals are mediocre and the riffs are too some times. But man those solos are fucking awesome. They make it totally worth it to listen to the whole album. The instrumental and Rhapsody in Black...or whatever the song is called are my favorites. |

Here's the thing : Nosferatu is one of the most technically superior albums ever released, James Rivera is the ultimate God, and we should all worship the ground he walks on!!! Period ![]() |

James Rivera is actually kind of lame in my opinion. He sings well enough, its just kind of bland. |

I don't quite think he's the ultimate God who we should all worship, but I'd say he's still really good, and extremely versitile. By the way, thanks to this thread I dowloaded Nosferatu and it kicks ass so I'm gonna buy it now. |
