I agree, and I voted piece too... mainly for revelations... But if Number of the beast had Total Eclipse instead of the weak Gangland, my vote should had gone to it.

I voted for the 1st album.

This one has so much charm! Remember Tomorrow is so fucking gloomy, then you have Running Free which is so straight rocknroll, then Phantom of the Opera which kicks your fuckin' ass, then Strange World to cool down the bluesy way.

And it also has Transylvania, which is what metal is all about! And since i'm Transylvania born, you should all bow down and show some respect! (that goes also to the Darkthrone fans)

Number of The Beast. Run To The Hills is one of the best metal songs ever made. Then again, I've never been the biggest Maiden fan so I probably shouldn't even be voting.

Seventh Son is my favorite of their 7 first albums, but Powerslave is a close second. I do like "Dance of Death" and "The X-Factor" more than any of those albums though.

Given the absence of 7th Son, the self-titled gets my vote as well.

Power Slave is the perfect metal album IMO.

I think it's a good song but not one of their best.

I vote Killers. The self titled and Number of the Beast are close behind it though. Piece of Mind doesn't do anything for me aside from The Trooper. The keyboards in Seventh Son kind of put me off, as did the more progressive song structures. I am still lacking Somewhere in Time, and Powerslave unfortunately.

Luckily for me, an older friend had the good sense to introduce me to Iron Maiden five years ago. He played Phantom of the Opera and I was hooked from that point on. God only knows what I would be listening to these days if I had never discovered it.

In order:

Somewhere In Time
Powerslave
Iron Maiden
Number Of The Beast
Piece Of Mind
Killers
