I've stumbled uppon those guys by chance, and at first was part skeptical, part curious. I always wanted to give a chance to industrial metal, but Rammstein was suspiciously nazi like so I stayed away.

Anyway, those guys are really good, imho. I like the dark, brooding atmosphere the music conveys.
Wouldn't mind trying similar things. Any suggestions? :)

Interlock (.org.uk)
The Berzerker
Fear Factory (early)
Red Harvest
Kovenant
P.H.O.B.O.S
Samael (late)
Mysticum
The Amenta
Dimensional Psychosis (check post in Black/death forum)
Mortiis (last two albums)
Aborym
...And Oceans
Count Nosferatu Kommando
Nunwhore Commando 666
Godflesh
Jesu
Kreuzweg Ost
The Electric Hellfire Club
Miksha
Tidfall
v28

Some are rather heavy, so proceed with caution. I don't know much about your listening experience, but the ones in bold are worth checking out first, easier, etc. There's quite a bit of variety there, you should find something to your liking...

Rammstein aren't Nazi, but I do find their songs to get rather dull after a few listens, so I wouldn't bother. If you must, their earlier material is better.

And welcome to the forums! :D

Edit: And Deathstars are OK. Not sure I like the Manson-esque image, though...

Thanks, I bet I would. And thanks for pointing out the more popular choices.

Well, image aside, they have some interesting ideas. One thing that bothers me though, is that most of their songs sound somewhat similar. Maybe it's only me.

No problem, I would have added links as well, but couldn't be bothered. :P If you have trouble finding anything, feel free to PM / email for help.

I can usually ignore image, but these lot annoy me for some reason. They make entertaining videos, I'll give them that.

A few more I forgot:

Ministry
The Young Gods
Killing Joke

More rock than metal, but you should dig 'em.

Zaraza sound a lot like early Godflesh with a lot of Laibach worship. but with extra doom.

that's an equation which adds up to Awesome(TM).

Man, I hate Deathstars. Every song is just another remake of The Beautiful People with harder production.

I'd recommend some better bands... but Zad just recommended all the good ones.
