The power metal band, not the Dan Swano neo-prog thing. Anyone else heard these guys? Album is called the 13th Sign, came out 2005 I think. I can't even tell if I like it, but it's possible...it's super melodic, comes off a bit silly but is somehow endearing, has a serious 80s vibe but manages not to sound like it was recorded in the 80s. Very upbeat and melodic, with some fairly obvious Helloween influence. My main gripe is that the production could really use something other than JUST treble, gah, it really takes the power away, which is unfortunate to the max. |

Has anyone heard the Dan Swano Unicorn? It's unbelievable he was only 16 when he released the first album. |

Like 'em. Any band that manages to cover Eagle Fly Free in a way that you can actually listen to it without longing for the original gets my vote. |
