Reverend, one of the bands of singer David Wayne of Metal Church fame, a really great Power/Thrash band, this is a song from their first album "World wont miss you" :

Reverend - Remission

Is that David singing? I think he has lost it. He doesn't sound anywhere near as good as on Metal Church.

Also, is it just me or are there some definite Overkill sounding moments?

Well, I've got some reverend songs cause I'm a real Wayne fan, but Reverend, that is good, is not my favourite Wayne group. Metal Church means a lot for me, the first song I listened from them was "Ton of Bricks", from "The Dark", and, well, is an awesome song from a n awesome album. So in my opinion, Metal Church is where Wayne shined most.
Another Wayne's great album is the self-named group Wayne with their "Metal Church" record, with another Metal Church original member, Craig Wells, at the guitar.

Hell yeah!!!, Witchkiller kicks ass, hey did you read the thread i made about Aceium?, it was the previous band of Douglas Lang Adams Witchkiller´s vocalist, they only released an 8 song demo but it was pretty good.

Just to say he did Not die in the car accident, but died on the doorstep of his home some months after the accident, but his death has been attributed to complications arising from the accident

Brocas Helm is cool. I used to like the True metal thrashy stuff when I was younger, but moved a bit away from it. Done get me wrong I totally respect thrash and loved Overkill/Sodom/Coroner or Metal church/Omen/Armored Saint. it is just hard to find time for all of it. I guess having lived through the 80s (being 32 now) I got drowned in it.
These bands are great and keep posting. You have fine taste in quality thrash and true 80s. Maybe we need a forum for this particular style. I think many power metal heads dont really know of these bands very well. It is true that we would not have modern power metal without the style and elements of the bands you mention :). These guys spawned much of what we listen too today and should take some credit in the uprising of Metallica back in the day (when they were still kick ass)

I think it is only that some of these bands might get more response in the thrash/black/death section, but i have noticed that even thrash and true 80s speed metal even gets lost over there.

Great stuff tho! I wish i had only time to relish in all forms of metal , but working 55 hrs a week to keep up with bills (and metal addiction) keeps me busy :(
