With the current polls with "Manowar vs.", and with the support for this band, i am interested to know which studio album is your favourite and why.

I myself think "Kings Of Metal" is their best, mainly because there are so many awesome tracks, more so than their other albums. But their best song would be "Fighting The World", along with "Warriors Of The World United".

Why would you have warriors of the world as your least favourite manowar album?

11 tracks. 3 of them not worth a flying bollock (some would say 4). I understand, but I disagree.

I just think that it was a pretty lame effort after such a long wait in between albums. An Elvis song? WTF!

Lets take out Pavarotti's signature track and the American Trilogy. Now what would you think of it?

Since I'm such a clever sod, I downloaded the two non-album tracks from the same sessions (Dawn of Battle/I Believe) and made a CDR with them in the place of American Trilogy and The March. Makes for a much stronger album.

Another problem with it is the pacing, an irritation on many Manowar albums. After opening with two mid-tempo tracks, launching into three ballads in a row (cut up by a tiny interlude) is just really stupid. Having the three speedy, agressive tracks at the end makes for a thrilling conclusion, but it hinders the rest of the album. Replacing American Trilogy with Dawn of Battle fixes this a bit.

I agree its not their strongest album, and i cant seem to play anything else but "Call To Arms" and "Warriors Of The World United". Occasionally i would play "Fight For Freedom" but thats about it.

Ok, there are a few issues I have with this album. The actual metal tracks are quite good, particularly the last three. But it gets let way down by Fight for Freedom which has to be one of the most nauseating nationalistic songs I've ever heard. Whenever I listen to it I picture some jarhead saluting the stars and stripes with a tear in his eye.

Thats cause we (as aussies) dont understand the American patriotism. We have tp be living there to properly understand the way they feel about all that

These are the albums in my top 3 too, except I'm undecided about the order. I can't choose for number one.

Yes, the tracklisting on WOTW is quite idiotic. I can see why someone would put that last. But Wanksalot's top is still weird to me because he listed a kick-ass album like Louder Than Hell as their worst (except WOTW) and Into Glory Ride, which always seemed to me their weakest album by far, as their second best. Different tastes for sure.

Although it's a solid album, I find Louder Than Hell to be a little lazy. The song structure seems geared towards easing Columbus back into the band, with steady and simple rock beats for most of the songs. Plus it mentions the word "metal" so many times it becomes very distracting. As for Into Glory Ride, that album has more of a sentimental vibe for me as it was the one metal album I had in my walkman when my parents forced me to go on a huge road trip with them, so it became my friend.
