You know what to do.

Yesterday:
I worked a fourteen hour day yesterday, but that wasn't going to stop me from seeing some METAAAAAL!!! Anyway, I saw the almighty Cellador play a 40 min. set at The Rock last night. All I can say is, I think you guys are going to love the new songs. I heard them play a few of them before at jam sessions, but hearing them live was damn amazing. Bill and Chris shredded all the hardcore punk's faces off and they brought in the largest crowd I have ever seen at The Rock. YEAH!! Great fucking set.

No recent gigs to report (I did my CoF autopsy in another thread) except the Arch Enemy one which was about a month ago. And they were great. :P

On the horizon:

Syth (local heroes) - 24th
DragonForce/Edguy/Sabaton - 31st
Helloween - February 12th

Damn. I would kill for shows like that around here. Actually, I guess I'm seeing Sonata Arctica at the end of the month. Cellador is opening up for them in Minnesota. So there are two great acts in one night. I can't wait.

I saw Edguy last year in Paris(with Nocturnal Rites and Brainstorm),and was dissapointed(after 2 songs,Tobby has no more voice, the guitarists are below average);thus,i won't waste my money this time(especially if the opener is DragonForce  )!

But saturday night Malédiction will play live in Paris, and this, dear metalheads,is gonna kick ass!

You were disappointed in a band you don't like? Whatever. By the way in the UK leg of the tour Edguy are the opening act and DragonForce headline (they've got a new army of poser fans over here thanks to "Metal" Hammer).

NESS - shows like this aren't a regular thing over here. I was amazed to hear Helloween were playing (the last time they were hear was on the Keeper II tour if I'm not mistaken) and whe I saw Edguy were supporting DragonForce it totally floored me. I'll probably never see Sonata Arctica (again  ) unless they're an opening act for Nightwish or something.

Actually at start,i liked Edguy...but slowly i realised how fake and worthless they were!

So in the space of less than a year you, oh experieced Metalman stub, realised a band you must have liked for quite a while (considering how many of their albums you own) were totally fake and worthless? Pish. Talk about leaning the way the wind is blowing.

Actually for 2 years all i had from this band was Mandrake(which i found pretty good). And then ,when Hellfire Club was released i decided to go and see them live,so i purchased the 2 albums before Mandrake, and the new album as well.Soon i realized how much buzz was going on around this band;on their site, they anounced Hellfire Club as the best metal album of the year, the new messiah, and so on!Slowly my disgust for this band began to grow, as their new album wasn't at all the best metal album, and as i discovered at the same time some other heavy metal bands that released far better heavy metal albums ,that remained unnoticed. Then,i suddenly realised the reasons for the hype around this band:their use and abuse of their "funny band with a funny singer" image(somehow i don't find them funny at all),while hiding underneath the fact that they are(unlike other Power metal bands) average musicians, and their singer imitates shamelessly Kiske and Dickinson;their target:the new generation of teenagers who are searching for something TrOOer than nu metal or modern rock(like Metallness),and who have no idea of what metal really is!Hopefully these kids will realize soon how fake they are and will move to the real metal bands;meanwhile,i think there's nothing to praise about a band that profits of the ignorance of their public to gain money and fame!So that's why i don't miss an occasion to flame and discredit this band!Satisfied????

No. You act like Edguy is the only band to make derivative Power Metal. Oh no, their singer tries to sound like Dickinson and Kiske. Aren't those two the guys every high-register singer emulates when they are starting out? These days Sammet sounds nothing like either of them.

Your disgust for Edguy grew because their new album wasn't as good as they promised it to be? Again, when do you see a band that says "Yeah...our bew album's ok....there's a lot of better stuff out there"? And anyway, that statement on their website (I remember it) about how Hellfire Club was the best album in history was obviously a joke. If you took it seriously and expected an earth-shaking album on the basis of their own tongue-in-cheek write-up, well that's your problem. Its not their fault that you're stupid.

I know Edguy bashing is trendy and all, but you've got to expect these responses when you flame them in around 33% of your posts.

You're going to have to let me know how that one goes. Helloween and PowerQuest one night, then Edguy and DragonForce another night. It's official, I'm jealouse.

I will always proudly flame Edguy!!!They are average musicians;their only originality is their desperate attempt at being funny(and they miserably fail, imo);they have undeservingly the same level of popularity as Blind Guardian and Gamma Ray meanwhile they don't have their originality and their skill;and their fans are boring and immature! Now if you're still unsatisfied, you still got your dick and your right hand!

Is your fucking spacebar broken? A space follows a comma, exclamation point, period, semi-colon, etc..
