Post subject:  Danzig Albums
I would like to hear some of your opinions on which Danzig albums are better than his others. I've heard some stuff from his self-titled and Circle of Snakes but I am wondering how it compares to his other stuff. Thanks.

I'm only a fan of Danzig, Danzig II: Lucifuge, Danzig III: How the Gods Kill and Danzig 4. Blackacidevil was horrible, and I've only heard a few songs from each of the three after that.

DANZIG IS GOD!!!! Well, a short, fat god but nonetheless...
I'm a huge fan of Danzig as some already know, so I would say that Circle of Snakes is complete shit. I Luciferi is fantastic, and is also the album that gets the least amount of attention. 1 through to 4 go without saying as being the best band combination, while Satan's Child is good, but overall quite boring. Blackacidevil is a strange beast. I despised it for many years, hated it. But when I accepted that it was only an experimentation and not trying to be metal at all, I quite like it. I can't listen to it the whole way through, though. If I were you I would check out Samhain (it's very rare). It's Danzig's band between Misfits and 'Danzig' and is really cool stuff.

Danzig's first 4 albums are good (the first being the best), but the rest of their discography sucks.

Danzig is jacked, but he's got a glass chin. Go and seek out the video of the fat lead singer of North Side Kings knocking him out with one punch! Hilarious! Danzig pushes him and goes "Fuck you, motherfucker!" and the dude winds up and KAPOW! Lights out. Hahaha.

Yeah, I think I posted that here awhile back. Look for it on the North Side Kings website. They used to have a detailed breakdown of the video that makes it even funnier. Words will scroll across the bottom of the slo-mo replay, i.e. "Notice how Danzig pushes first." Hilarious.

Has anybody seen the Danzig cameo on Aqua Teen Hunger Force?

Yeah, and they had their song that goes "You're an asshole!" playing in the background! Hahaha. I love Danzig's statement after it happened:

"I don't want to give those guys [NORTH SIDE KINGS] press. That was just a setup for me to punch him and them to sue me for a bunch of money. If I wanted to kill that guy, he'd be dead in two seconds."

That said, I love the Misfits and his appearance on ATHF was great.

Glenn is an egomaniac, but hey, it drives him. The whole incident with him getting smacked out on video was unfortunate; but his attacker got that punch in lucky. I laughed at his statement that he chinned Glenn with a light jab, but on the video he puts his entire fat ass behind the punch. Misfits is good, but very overrated. The sound quality and musicianship is terrible, and the only thing that makes it what it is is Glenn's delivery. For every one classic Misfits song there are three piles of crap.

The two albums with Graves singing are excellent. I'm a huge old school Misfits fan and my favorite album is American Psycho. :D

As for that punch being lucky, that's bullshit. The dude wound up from a mile away! You can't telegraph a punch more than that, Glenn is just a pussy. No one should have gotten hit by that punch, but Glenn was like a deer in headlights. No, that was not a lucky punch. That's called the "perfect punch."

The only thing I have heard by Glenn Danzig that I find interesting is Black Aria... It's not metal, but it's still quite good.

Ya I heard with the Black Aria he called it like a Magnificent Opus of music or some crud. And haha I laughed my ass off when I saw the clip of him gettin' punched out.
