Post subject:  New Music Download: Hamka

EpicMetalFan30 brought this band up in the Fairyland thread, not sure if everyone saw it or not, but this shit is definitely worthy of its own thread. Straight to the point, Hamka is a new band Elisa C. Martin is working with. I've downloaded the demo from the site and managed to find the CD, as well, so I ordered it. Excellent stuff right here.

They're a power metal band, not unlike Fairyland, but definitely heavier and not as...flowery? Hehe. Basically, they're more traditional power metal rather than that epic, symphonic stuff Fairyland and Rhapsody play. Definitely worth a listen, especially the Megadeth cover (I'm hosting that, so get it quickly).

Clips from Unearth:

Hamka - Ignition (Clip)
Hamka - Sand Glass (Clip)
Hamka - Rising Atlantis

From Hangar De Almas: Tribute To Megadeth:

Hamka - Tornado Of Souls

From their Exodus demo:

Hamka - Led By Gods (Demo)
Hamka - Ghost Of Desert

yeah. Dont remember how i stumbled on that. Im not sure it has been released yet, maybe Japan?
I have tried to follow Elisa since early Dark Moor i thoroughly enjoyed.
The more I listen to the clips at the site, the more i tend to agree with you.
I think this is on a small label so maybe we can help make it known to as many as we can :)

Yeah, it definitely seems like it's going to be a damn good CD. I found it on eBay from a Japanese seller. It ended up costing me $4.99 plus $7 S&H.

And that Megadeth cover is killer.

very good deal. Especially from Japan seller. That is a good shipping price. Usually overseas sellers really get you on ebay. im impressed.
If you ever come across the Dark Moor- Fall of Melnibone Ep let me know. Cant seem to ever find it :(
I downloaded it somewhere, but being a collecter would really like the original. I think it had only 1500 copies let loose on the Spanish mkt!

Hey ! This is good stuff !!!! I like it and it's pretty much my kind. I especially like the vocals on "Sand Glass". But I agree. Definitely worth the hearing...

Generally $7-9 is the standard for Asian sellers. I love the UK sellers that charge like 9 pounds!! :D Assholes. I have a friend who ships me CDs from the UK and it costs no more than 3 pounds!
