Fairyland fans can get the demo (realm of Wonders) 2002 , back when the band was named Fantasy at the following link for free. Simply right click the (Fantasy-Realm of Wonders) zipped file and save.
Serious fans should look into it, because the demo has been sold out and unavailable for some time. Comes with every song (14 tracks) and the original cover artwork.
I believe that there is even a review of the demo at this very website!
here is the link

It's in French, and it seems that file is in .rar format, not MP3. What the hell do I do with it now?

This is from when they had a male singer, right? Before Martin?

Yes. Sounds like the one that does the choir like backing vox on the debut? dunno really. I just saved it and opned it and the files played as mp3 in realplayer. Maybe you need to get the .rar to open it i guess. It is similar to winzip i guess?
I just use the trial version. I guess the files are simply packed, but they are mp3s

try this link

sound quality is not all that great like the review here denotes, but I am a sucker for rare or demo material being a collecter. I prefer Elisas vox of course, but it makes for a nice piece of history and sounds pretty good for PC speakers. Would probably not play this in my car through 12s. Heck i like midi-files of metal songs still :)

Elisa Martin is in a new band called Hamka.

mp3 clips here;

Too bad Fairyland does not appear to be busy on a follow up to the debut. At least i have not read of anything?

I actually finally downloaded the Fairlyland CD just the other day because I've yet to been able to find it. Every seller on eBay seems to be selling bootlegs/Russian versions. Anyway, great CD! I just checked their site the other day and it still hasn't been updated in like a year.

So, without having checked this new site yet, has Elisa left Dreamaker?

This Hamka shit deserves it's own thread! Make it happen! :D Excellent stuff here, their cover of Megadeth's "Tornado Of Souls" sounds excellent.

Yep. And they play ultra flowery Rhapsody ripoff metal with a CHICK singer. Try at your own risk.

Yeah, not a bad album. Retarded name, indeed.

Almost as bad as "The Flower Kings." Except they rule.

Phil Collen from Def Leppard has a new side project with the Sex Pistols drummer. Their name rules: MAN-RAZE!

Huh?

I remember reviewing that Fantasy demo. It had pretty cool artwork too, from what I remember. The songs were pretty much the same as the ones that later appeared on the Fairyland debut. At this point, Fantasy had a male vocalist who didn't even come close to doing a good job. Furthermore, the production was simply terrible. I know it's only a demo, but it sounded bad even for a demo. Still, it was very obvious that the band knew how to write quality songs.

I've known that this band has existed for a couple years, but the name still cracks me up.

I love the effort put forth, though. Have you ever seen the map that comes with the CD? It's high quality shit:

Kind of makes me wish there was a nice book to go along with it.

I actually have Fairyland's album "Of Wars In Osyrhia" and its very good. It is fantasy powermetal, but i think the simalarities are more like the band Heavenly, but with female vocals. If anyone who liked the demo, back when they were changing band names, you should really get your hands on this album.
