 Post subject: Newish To Powermetal Give Me Some Advice Please.

Im sort of new to power metal, I don't know many bands so i was wondering if you guys could give me some ones which are similar to the ones i like so i can go try them out:

Blind Guardian
Stratovarius
Symphony X
Hammerfall

I tried out Rhapsody but most of their songs are too slow can anyone give me the name of some good albums? I thought rhapsody would be up my street after my friend sent me the song holythunderforce but i can't find any songs similar to it... I also don't like the slower stratovarius songs.

I enjoy fast-paced power metal to get your really pshyced up if you know what i mean...

Yeah, Holy Thunderforce by Rhapsody kicks ass! But surely they have similar songs. I've never heard anyone say that "most of their songs are slow"!?!?!?! :shock: :shock:
Try their first album Legendary Tales, pure exstacy from start to finish. Also check Power Of The Dragonflame.

Other super bands to check out: Heavenly, Gamma Ray, Helloween, Zonata, Hibria, Olympos Mons, Galloglass...
To Blind Guardian needs: Persuader and Savage Circus.
For just speed, speed, speed: DragonForce, Power Quest and also Arthemis.

Nothing personal Dolfin but do a search around the forums.There are many "suggest me good power metal" threads.

I mean, considering it's virtually the same, why not read that first?
