Since there's already a thread about Bohemian Rhapsody in the hard rock forum ,i see no reason for not having one about The Prophet's Song in the Heavy prog power forum(i think it belongs more here than in the hard rock forum).

This incredible masterpiece is (for those that are a bit ignorant) a song from Queen's 1975 A Night at the Opera album;it influenced lots of power metal, epic metal, progressive symphonic bands(even Gamma Ray stole the chorus for their Heading for Tomorrow);some are calling it the heaviest song from the seventies!!!!

What do you guys think about it????

I think there's a reason why it didn't become a classic : it sucks... Queen did timeless songs but that Prophet "thing" is not one of them... :?

is it because, for once, I disagree with you ?

imo, the voice symphony thing was a good idea that turned bad but I'm happy Queen tried it... trying is what most artists do anyway and, sometimes they strike... that's what Queen did a great number of times only not with this one
