I'm heading down to London tomorrow to catch this gig. Needless to say I'm pretty excited about the prospect of seeing these bands, two I never thought would come near the UK. HammerFall I saw this year in Sweden, but I'm a Strato virgin so to speak. Anyone else been to any of the dates on the tour? And have any of the UK members ever been to a gig at the London Koko? |

You bastard! And no, I can't be arsed getting to London and even if I could the club is 18+, which is why I missed Testament on their last tour. Urrrgh. |

Don't worry, this one's a rarity. And I need to travel a few hundred miles to get to it. |

I'd take Hammerfall over Stratovarius, but only the first three HF albums. |

I'd take Hammerfall over Stratovarius anyday! The new Stratovarius isn't that good IMO. |

I use the new Stratovarius for toilet paper. I'd rather have the pain of wiping my ass with it than the pain of listening to it. |

Dumbass. Well i got in fine so there was no need for your shit. The gig was pretty awesome, Hammerfall were better than stratovarius though, they did head bashing in sync with their guitarists and their drummer was funny. Stratovarius was good too but one of their guitarists does awesome shit but just acts like its nothing showing no emotion..... All in all i enjoyed myself. There were a couple drum solo's which were just messing around but the bassist for Stratovarius did a fucking kick ass solo.. might of been the hammerfall basist actully... not sure. |

Hmm, they only have one guitarist... But your description surely fits to Timo Tolkki ![]() Quote: All in all i enjoyed myself. No, man, you're imagining things. Oh, by the way, TIMO TOLKKI > ALL OF YOU Holy shit, what a gig. I enjoyed Stratovarius more than HammerFall, probably because I've never seen them before and they played a more satisfying set. Watching Tolkki peeling off those awesome solos was a joy to behold. Just amazing. The newer songs, which obviously aren't as good, sounded better in a live environment - the additonal keyboards on Fight worked particularly well. HammerFall were great as well, but as I say, a few key songs were missing (only an hour on stage). The support band were Shakra, but thanks to some piss-awful organising by the venue staff they were on and off the stage before I'd got into the place. |

I didn't see Shakra either, are you sure they even came? ![]() |
