I have Coming From The Sky and it's a good CD. Nothing spectacular, typical power metal, but good enough for me to enjoy. I'd not buy anything from them over $8, though.

Yes, Sign of the Winner is another good one. Nothing incredible, as Eyesore said, but good, enjoyable power metal.

I own Dust to Dust and I must say that it is very impressive. It's not the be-all, end-all power metal album, but it certainly was quite good. If originality isn't a big concern of yours, then Heavenly is a power metal band you should check out.

Dust to Dust is amazing. Their other albums are generic.

I would have to say they are pretty over rated, especially on this site, but they are still good power metal. SIgn of the Winner is probably their best work.

I always thought they got such high scores because Chris reviewed them.Their albums don't deserve a score in the 90's and in the 80's for that matter.IMO Dust To Dust would be their best but not worth of a purchase.Another french band that got much praise by Chris is Manigance, which are much better than Heavenly, but sing in french. They are very similar so check them out.And again their albums don't deserve such high scores, just don't fool yourself when you see a score above 90.

Pyroman, for once I dont agree with you. Both Heavenly, and especially their Dust to Dust album, and Manigance are two of the best Power Metal bands out there.

My loss then.
Good as they may be, they are not as great as the reviews suggest. For me Manigance is the better of the two, but i wouldn't give them scores above 80-85 for any of their albums. The score should be even lower for Heavenly.

Just b/c he is rating something in the 60's or 70's doesn't make them bad albums. I believe "Dust to Dust" and "Sign of the Winner" both deserve something in the low seventies if not high 60's.

Gamma Ray, Virgin Steele, Twilighting, Hibria, Stratovarius, Blind Guardian, XJapan, PowerQuest, Cellador, Dragonforce, Zonata, Angra, Nocturnal Rites, Persuader, Megadeth, Exodus, Testament, Overkill, Voivod, Darkane, In Flames, At The Gates, Amon Amarth, Taake, Windir, Forest of Fog, Carpathian Forest, Ulver.

Those are what I have in my Case Logic. I tried to organize them with their genre of metal.

I think he meant only in the power metal genre and as similar to Heavenly as possible.
In this case the ones metalNESS forgot to mention are: Kamelot, Avantasia, Helloween, Thunderstone, Secret Sphere, Last Tribe, Celesty (still having doubts about that), Lost Horizon, Majestic, Mob Rules.

As you can see Blade the list is big.All those band play better than Heavenly and have a sound similar in a way to that of the french. Most of the PM bands metalNESS wrote are better as well. This is a matter of taste of course, so it doesn't have to be necessarily the same with you.

Oh, and Dark Moor. Heavanly sounds kind of like Dark Moor. Except Dark Moor frikin rules, with Elisa on vocals and their Self Titled album.

Their new album is pretty weak.

If you like Daniel Hieman's voice, then you'll love this guy's voice. I'm pretty new to Hibria, but from what I hear they are pretty new to the metal scene. They only have one Full Length album "Defying the Rules." It’s fast paced metal with an 80's edge. I would say resemblances to Primal Fear, except they blow Primal Fear way out of the water. Hibria just gives me an energy to keep going. If I’m driving home from a long business trip and I find myself nodding off at the wheel, I'll pop in some Hibria and I'm suddenly energized for another five hours of driving.

One of my favorite bands.

Heavenly are a great epic power metal band. I have both Sign Of The Winner and Dust To Dust. I like "Winner" more than "Dust", but both are top notch. Vocals are kinda high pitched, so if you dont like that, then this may take a few spins to enjoy and get used to.
