Looking for bands that sound like Iron Savior, Old Blind Guardian, Persuader, or Manticora; no terrible frilly shirt crap or Nuclear blast fodder like Sabaton. Anything that is fast, has a lot of double bass, and a little bit of a Helloween/German power metal style sound |

Stormwarrior? Paragon? Bloodbound (not their latest)? Old Rage comes to mind too. Also, I heard good things about Masters of Disgrace which is a re-vamped Savage Grace by German musicians (who backed Chris Logue in 2009/10), that might work. |

The Annoying Frenchman wrote: Old Rage comes to mind too. Throw Grave Digger and Running Wild in with them as well. The vocals may be a little grittier than you wanted but both bands are top notch power metal speed machines from the old school. Stormwarrior is a killer band and an excellent recomendation by the way. |

a little late to the party but Kiuas seems to fit your description. Their album Spirit of Ukko was my favorite from them. |
