Goddamn, thank god for this fucking band. One of the few neo classical / power/ prog bands that have an old school metal spirit. There's a lot of modern influences but damnit, they write some awsome mega man harmonies and the songs have this very strange mystic quality, kind of like its raining outside. Weird. Still, I must say this is a great band. Having trouble finding the first one No Limit. |

Yeah Labyrinth kicks ass. Return to Heaven denied was my first by them. Their latest is a lot different. It actually sounds very modernized, but I still like it. |

This probably won't interest you, since I know you don't like Rhapsody, but.... One of the guitarists from Labyrinth, can't remember who, and Fabio Lione from Rhapsody, formed a side band. I can't remember the band name. Actually, I haven't even heard the band, but my brother recommended them. He said they sound like early Labyrinth. I'll ask him next time I see him. I'll post it here when I find out. |

Maybe Elvenking. ANd I think the singer for Labyrinth was in an early incarnation of Rhapsody. |

You made me be not lazy and look that shit up. Its Vision Divine with Olaf Thorsen. And Elvenking fucking rules. By the way check out Leprechaun if you like Elvenking. (Same singer) I haven't heard much by them, my order is still on its way from, where ever the hell their from. |

Niether have I. Everytime I go to order Wyrd, I get an out of stock repy in my e-mail. Thoughts on Wyrd, people? |

I think its better, but I'm in the minority. Damnagoras doesn't sing on Wyrd, he rejoined the band only a few months after they released it. Now Jarpen has quit, so no growls on the next album it would appear. Regards the Rhapsody/Labyrinth link - Fabio Lione used to sing for Lab under the name Joe Terry. |

HAHA!! That's interseting. Joe Terry? Is that his real name? |

No, I think it's the English equivalent of Fabio Lione. Just like Rob Tyrant's real name is Roberto Tyrranti or something like that. |

I just got No Limits and its pretty good. Its now what I expected, but then again, when I first got a Labyrinth album I was expecting complete Euro-crap like Stratovarius or Edguy. Pleasant suprise to find they were a great band. I think Return to Heaven Denied and SOns of THunder are my favorite. RTHD is the most consistend, while SOns of THunder has the best overall songs on it.....heaviest too. |
