Its really hard for me to choose.. I bought their ultimate box, i only had powerplant... so it was really woth purchasing..

But my top three would be like this:

1. Land of the free
I really like this album it has it all, and the surpise with hansi on "farewell" is just great, and "time to break free" with kiske is also really great.. Is seems like kai has done all the triscks for making this a seller.. + rebellion in a dreamland is one of the best metal songs ive ever heard.

2. Heading for tomorrow
Classic.. i really like the vibe on this album.. its just plain positive and fun. plus the tracks: lust for live, heaven can wait, space eater and money.. Are really great and the closet we come the keepers period from helloween..

3. Powerpant.

Just great heavy metal... No stand out tracks... coz they are all great...

Actually i like all af their albums.. except insanity and genius... and I think somerwhere out in space is good but really overrated.. the only thing that make that album THAT great is valley of the kings... thats my opinion... whats yours?

I would say that two records are above the others. And they are: 1)Heading For Tomorrow and 2)No World Order.

I only have the box set and honestly I'm not very familiar with the CDs. I need to take them out of the box and put them in with my regular CDs. I never listen to them because they're currently up on a shelf.

I will move them tonight. :D

I consider Land Of The Free their best. Probably their masterpiece.
I also like Sigh No More and Insanity & Genius a lot, since I like Ralf's voice much better than Kai's. Powerplant, Somewhere Out In Space, No World Order are all solid albums.
But what strikes me about GR is that none of their albums, with the possible exception of LOTF, come close to real greatness. There are killer tracks, but there are always also a lot of fillers, or boring moments. GR is a solid band, but (especially considering Hansen's on board) it always strikes me that they're a bit underachieved. They always fell a little short on my expectations. Haven't heard Majestic yet, but it will probably be the same.

I do know, however, that "Short As Hell" is my favorite song by them! What a groove. Of course, the song is short as hell, too, which sucks.

Sigh No More (bought this new when it came out and it walked all over everything else at the time. It's a classic, especially since Ralf kills on it!)

No World Order (no weak tracks - killer)

Yeah actually I agree. That song brings “Power Plant” down a notch IMO.
