http://www.winterfell.org/media.htm Band based on George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire They even got a song called Winter Is Coming Holy shit the singer is doing Barlow vocals and they sound a bit like Iced Earth. |

Yep, I've heard this band before (I think someone posted a link to them in another thread, plus they sometimes advertise on the ASoIaF board). They're actually quite good, and they get extra props for singing about the best books ever. |

Interesting find there, also note that A song of Ice and Fire is one of the best fantasy novel series ever written.

Hmmmm, not bad...the quality of the mp3 is a tad poor, so its hard to tell how good they can sound. But i do like what i hear, i do hear similarities to Barlow, maybe more high-pitched than Barlow. The 2 tracks i heared were Winter Is Coming and Asatru....both were good. |

Great band!! Yeah, the singer sounds almost identical to Barlow, he's just a bit worse, but with some voice training he'd be perfect for replacing Ripper!

Their EP is worth the $6. And they have a new CD coming out, unless it's out already... *(goes to check site)* EDIT: Seems that it will be out very soon! Sweet! Listen to the new song, and the short clips, the singer's voice has definitely evolved and gotten much better!! He no longer sounds so much like Barlow, he's come into his own a bit more it appears! The new shit is great, too!! |
