Man, I don't even know what to think. It's cool that Bruce maintained some dignity through it all. I imagine that he's kinda professional so it's not like he'll have been taking the piss out of all the metalcore and melodeath bands backstage.. would he?

This is the nature of the music scene in this country, you have a legendary band like Iron Maiden doing Ozzfest and they get treated like shit, sure Bruce always says some smart comments about the american crowds, now after reading this, i dont blame him. All these fags who dont know shit about metal and think that a band like Mudvayne and Slipknot are great, how fucking pathetic. This is the kinda of shit that forces great bands to stay away from touring the states. And now Maiden gets replaced by gay ass Velvet Revolver, i hope the fags who wanted this to happen are happy with themselves. Is shameful to say the least :roll: |

While incidents like this are bound to keep a band like IM out of America, the reality is that thie was Sharon's fault, a fellow Brit, and if they can't see that, they are only marginally better than Sharon. Bands like Slipnot are listened to outside the US too. While our music scene sucks for the most part, IM stands to lose alot of money by not touring here, so it's still their loss. I feel like shit for Maiden because they are one of the best ever, and they do not deserve to be treated like this, but it is not America's fault. Sharon chose to do what she did on her own. And if Bruce hates American crowsa so much, they shouldn't have recorded one of the greatest live albums ever here. 'Nuff said. |

I just read the funniest fucking thing ever on metalunderground.com, Sharon wrote an "open letter" to Maiden's manager and signed it...ready for this?!.....The "real" Iron Maiden!!! I laughed at that one for a good 5 minutes. What a complete waste of human life. You have to be a world class shithead to write something like that. |
