Anybody here heard this. It's great. It's like Pantera gone Prog. The singer is awesome. |

I got it today, was disappointed, too aggressive for my liking. Did you listen to Balance of Power--Heathen Machine with the same singer? It is much better, IMO. |

Got it today as well, Got it free (sorta) in exchange at metaldisc.com for a backorder Elwing-War cd , that I happended to buy form the endrecs and Metaldisc sent it a month or two later and i had two so I sent it back and decided to give the new Biomechanical a chance Hoping it was in the vein of a heavy Lost Horizon. If what Winter says is correct I am not going to enjoy it either. Esp, since I have been true to metal since the roots and always despised Pantera with the exception of a couple of cowboys fom hel tracks. I believe they were the primary Downfall to "melody" in metal and thus led to Nu-metal. I cant get into down-tuned, I have to have "bright" so we will see. I will spin it a few times and give an open minded listen and get back to this post and let you know. Very cool album cover i have to say. I hope the Pantera influence is onloy in the guitars if so that I think I can handle. |

Biomechanical, to me, is like a melodic death/industrial power metal band! Stylistically, it's fucking brilliant! Musically, they're excellent, but they do have a few stinkers. If you're strictly into true metal and its close relatives, you may be in for a shock! Have you seen their website? It's awesome. It's like a video game. ![]() Balance Of Power sound really kick ass, though!!! What have they released? It looks like three CDs? Is that correct? |

yeah , the aesthetics have basically forced me to pick this new album up. Website is cool, album covers, and overall themes in general are cool. Plus I hear the vocalists is good and the last album got stellar reviews and has been a difficult find for me. I never could find it at a reasonable price and still cant. At least the new one is more accesible and in larger quantities i guess :( |

I don't mind downtuned sound as long it is melodic, but I think there is a problem with how songs and the album flow. And 95% of the album is too aggressive with non stop pounding double bass drums. |

![]() Balance Of Power sound really kick ass, though!!! What have they released? It looks like three CDs? Is that correct? I believe they have 4 or 5 cd's.I know of Book Of Secrets and i think they have another one before that, so it makes them 5. As for Biomechanical, i haven't heard of them so maybe i should check them out.I have no problem with down-tuned sound so maybe i may like them.Lance King was Balance Of Power vocalist so does that mean he is the vocalist for Biomechanical ? |

I hated this CD.. people have been touting it as a progressive tour-de-force but it's just a fucking pastiche of everything else. "You like Meshuggah? You'll LOVE this!" please. I didn't. |

Strapping Young Lad goes power metal with Devin and Tim Owens on vocals! That about sums it up right there for me! I suggest if you like SYL then you definitely check this band out! |

Ive heard this album a while back, i didnt really like it, i mean the intensity is insane, but its too panterish like for my likings, i think John K's vocals are better when he was in Balance of Power, i have all theyre cd's, Lance King was awesome in that band, John K great and now he's gone and Corey Brown from Magniture 9 is in the band, he's a great singer too, can't wait for theyre new album, these guys have put out quality material after quality material. |

I'm a huge Devin Townsend fan and that's one of the first things that popped into my head when I put it on. |

I've got 8 Moons and it kicks ass I plan on getting their new album soon. I like the combination of Pantera meets Judas Priest meets Nevermore. |
