I was expecting disappointment.Well it wasn't, but it's not all that great too.This however isn't my final opinion on this.The damn promo had that static effect on 3-4 places throughout each song.
I'll see them live anyway. :D

Im anticipating this one aswell, and i dont think that No World Order was bat at all, i mean it wasnt Somewhere out in Space but it was still solid.

Just downloaded Majestic. Not as bad as "no world order" (which wasn't even all that bad IMO), but it is no Power Plant. Some good songs, some generic songs, some lame songs. I think it is worth purchasing.

Look at these track names;

"Hell is Thy Home"
"Condemned to Hell"
"Blood Religion"

My initial opinion was that it wasn't very good, but it is slowly growing on me. The opening track "My Temple" kicks ass. Hell Is Thy Home and Spiritual Dictator are great to. I think this album is better than No World Order. NWO was great for the first 5-6 tracks, the rest i found forgettable. However, even though Im sure everyone will say this exact sentence, I must say, its no Powerplant.

Just downloaded the whole thing.....and its about what I expected. Good power metal , but nothing spectacular. Gamma Ray does have the advantage of being...well Gamma Ray. They will always have a special place in my heart even if they are recycling riffs and vocal lines. As far as I'm concerned Kai Hansen is the father of this type of music. He took a page from the book of Satan's Court in the Act and added his own touches. So in short, its not great, but I can live with it.

Youre right, even if the new album isnt power plant 2,Kai Hansen still has the ability to make good albums and to be avobe of the other power metal clones.

Kai Hansen is definitly a pioneer. It doesn't matter if the new album sounds like a power metal clone, b/c he is the original.

I almost consider the first few Helloween records to be Gamma Ray.

Well, I'd say it the other way. Helloween isnt Helloween, Gamma Ray is. Gamma Ray basically is Walls of Jericho Helloween. The band that calls itself Helloween now is just a pack of wannabees exploiting the Helloween name to make a buck. Michael Weikath can go to hell, he has done nothing noteworth since. They should have changed the band's name after Chameleon.

Hansen chose to leave Helloween. There were still three out of the four original members left when he did so, and one of the two main songwriters, so your argument holds little water. If the current Helloween lineup has no right to use their name then neither do Iron Maiden.

You see my point though. Admittedly it was a pretty lazy comparison, but I'm not going to rack my brains over something so trivial.
