Listening "FIFTH ELEMENT" on Youtube...
The first album from this polish power metal band blew me away... loved songs like "all the mornings of the world", among others. Cheesy-bombastic-overthetop power metal fan here is pleased, indeed.

Simply amazing is all I can say. The chorus in "Fifth Element" is breathtaking.

For me, an amazing improvement from their last album. 'The Day I Turn Back Time' is one of the better songs I've heard in a while.

On a related note - quite an awesome time for symphonic prog/power metal releases right now. Damnation Angels, Oceans of Time, Reinxeed, Dawn of Destiny... and I still can't get enough!

To be honest, I think it's a step down from their previous album, both lyric- and production wise. The melodies are still great, however, and the album is still one of the best ones this year.

Checking this out right now. The intro track is the most ridiculous thing I've heard in weeks.

edit: Oh boy, the lyrics. The cheese.
edit #2: I like it, though. Some powerful bits here and there. And I like the nonsensical feeling about the songwriting. Like it goes everywhere and nowhere at the same time. Fucking chaos. Cool.

Agreed Bruce, love the chaotic feeling of some of the songs. Great album, been following Pathfinder since their demo days and I'm glad they're finally gaining a foothold in the power metal community.

The bonus track, which is a cover of the English version of the opening theme of the French animated series Spartakus and the Sun Beneath the Sea (Les Mondes Engloutis (The Engulfed Worlds), in French), made me laugh so hard.
Brought back the memories, though.
